Job Description
Our client is an international leader in the design, manufacture & distribution of advanced filtration and separation products and systems. They are seeking a Senior Project / Applications Engineer who will be responsible for assessing and interpreting customer enquiries and providing quotations in a professional and timely manner, as well as managing projects from conception to conclusion.
Duties of the job:
Produce quotations for bespoke equipment
Design process systems to meet customer requirements
Project Manage and expedite a number of projects up to £500K in value including timely completion and submission of documentation
Assess and accept orders in conjunction with engineering and the sales departments’ recommendations / requirements
Interpret customer specifications / data
Liaise with engineering manager, project engineers, designer and customers to address engineering issues and find cost efficient solutions
Liaise with fabricators to discuss practical solutions to problems and designs
Maintain records and the Company Quality Control System in accordance with in house procedures & ISO 9001
Ensure deadlines are met and projects are delivered on time and within budget
Some international travel may be required
Candidate Requirements:
· 10+ years process or heavy industrial experience, preferably in a similar role within Chemical / Mechanical Engineering
· H.N.D. / Degree qualification preferred
· Experience of filtration and process systems is desirable but not essential
· Knowledge of fabrication / NDE, electrics or quality control is desirable although not essential
· Computer literate, especially with Microsoft Office programmes and experience with AutoCAD essential
