Job Description
Challenging opportunity with an expanding automotive manufacturer in the South East Wales area for an experienced design / development engineer to work on both current and future products.
Main Duties
• Ensuring work is completed to meet project schedules
• Deliver cost effective solutions
• Strong liaison with internal and external suppliers
• Champion innovative and efficient methods of test and validation
• Provide technical support and guidance to other members of the team
• Take part in design reviews
Candidate requirements
• Mechanical Engineering Degree or equivalent
• Five years design, development or project engineering experience, preferably in an automotive environment
• Have a working knowledge of CAD, preferably Pro-Engineer Wildfire 2
• Understand manufacturing concepts and processes
• Understand complex mechanisms and structures / materials stress/strain
• Be familiar with latest engineering methods
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, team player
• Ability to speak a foreign language would be an advantage
