Job Description
£23 - £30K + 15% Profit Share + Benefits
Highly successful and expanding company supplying to the aerospace and defence sectors has a new opportunity for an ambitious Manufacturing Engineer to implement a new manufacturing process for the production of prototypes of cable systems and associated products and support equipment.
Main Duties
Developing rapid prototyping techniques / engineering / manufacturing processes
Work with bid team to produce a manufacturing / timing strategy
Work closely with customers on cable harness/system requirements
Maintain a Total Preventative Maintenance program
Maintain and produce all production build visual aids and methods
Continually identify and plan where possible to avoid bottlenecks Manage accurately
Company’s Drawing Control procedure.
Be responsible for setting and maintaining tooling, fixtures records / calibration. Manage / maintain BOM’s and Carry out costing analysis on builds processes.
Design simple test jigs and fixtures.
Candidate requirements
Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering
Experienced Engineer with team leader qualities
Range of knowledge of mfg technologies / computer controlled equipment It would be advantageous if you had experience in Aerospace / Defence
Must be able to get Government Security Clearance
