Graduate Engineer – UK
£18,000 to £23,000 + Car Allowance + Excellent Benefits

Role:

There are currently openings for Graduate Engineers to join a leading global provider of product lifecycle management (PLM) software and services, in September 2008. The position of Graduate Engineer offers the opportunity to join an established training and development program designed for new and recent graduates. The program provides intensive training enabling our graduates to join project teams who are responsible for engineering process and solution definition across multiple industry sectors including Aerospace & Defence, Automotive, Consumer Products, High Tech & Electronics.

The project teams provide a consultative approach enabling the successful deployment of PLM software applications at our customer sites. The role of the Graduate Engineer is to work with customers to provide consultancy and configuration of our suite of PLM software products. This is an exciting position providing the opportunity to work in a challenging, customer facing environment.

In terms of our requirements, we are looking for Engineering graduates who have ideally studied Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering. Potential candidates should also possess excellent problem solving, analytical, and communication skills.

As the projects the Graduate Engineer will be working on will be on-site with customers, candidates should be willing and able to travel throughout the UK.


Duties & Responsibilities

•Assist the project management team with the implementation consultation, customisation, configuration and installation of PLM products in support of the customer's engineering and manufacturing processes.
•Prepare reports and analysis on project progress and problems.
•Assist with the customisation and migration of client solutions.
•Assist the project management team with the evaluation and development of the project plan.
•Work with the project team to ensure projects are completed according to the corporate plan.
•Prepare development documentation and procedures.

Essential Skills & Experience Required

•Engineering degree, ideally in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
•Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
•Excellent written and presentation skills.


Desirable Skills & Experience Required

•Knowledge of engineering methodologies.
•Knowledge of PLM (Product Lifecycle Management)/ PDM (Product Data Management).
•Undertaken an industrial placement year as part of degree, within a relevant industry.
